Re: South Plains Leather fest?
Fri, February 18, 2005 - 10:22 AMThis weekend? I thought it was next weekend, the 25th-27th.
I haven't bought a pass yet, but I was thinking I might get crazy and go anyway. It would be a last minute decision.
Anybody else?

Tue, March 1, 2005 - 11:52 PMSo, how was it, y'all? There were plenty of workshops I'd have liked to attended, to say nothing of the party. -

Re: South Plains Leather fest?
Wed, March 2, 2005 - 7:55 PMI saw prairie at the fourth friday munch and wondered if you would be up, by the time I got through the food line I never caught up with her to ask. I thought the parties this year at Sanctuary were better than the ones I attended previous years at Inquisition. More play stations, better atmosphere for play
I enjoyed Midori's session on burnout, but really wished I got up early enough catch her multi-player sceneing program. Lolita's staples/single tail & needle/caning duo was amusing though I don't think those combintions are likly to enter my skill set. the latter was rather messy, though I liked the way the needles bent. I stayed for the rope bondage one at the end on sunday, more edgy hojojutsu stuff than usual, reminded me of my martial roots
All in all a good weekend -

Re: South Plains Leather fest?
Wed, March 2, 2005 - 9:56 PMCool. I was very interested in that burnout thing. Not so much for myself, but in terms of a proactive thing for group dynamics. I've heard a lot about staples and such, but never seen them done locally. Bloodsports isn't at the top of my list, but I imagine the visual could be quite enjoyable.
I've actually toyed a bit with a couple of hojojutsu-inspired ties of late. I gotta admit that the big taboo of wrapping the rope around the neck is a turn-on for me.

Re: South Plains Leather fest?
Mon, March 7, 2005 - 4:30 PMLolita's impact on piercings class was quite a show. I'd never seen staples used before. There was hardly any blood with them, which I found surprising. The staples were rather decorative- they still looked pretty at the party. For the caning of the needles part, let's just say that I was glad to be in the back of the room. Blood was flying- literally. I'll probaly try both techniques one day.
Midori's class on multi-player scenes was great. She approached it like a science- How to design a scene around a set of players so that everyone's needs could be met. It definately got my imagination going.
I'd never been to Sanctuary before, and I loved it! The Saturday night party was great. There was one scene in particular that really fascinated me- two subs, one Top, eight needles, a chain, four lengths of stretchy gold cord, and two canes. I could have watched for hours!
I sure am glad I got to go. Thanks, Lou!

picture the maestro directing an orchestra of pleasure & pain...
I caught the maestro(a)'s advanced play piercing class two fests ago I believe, it was cool to see her do a scene
