Sorry for such a long post, but there are a few things to mention:
The next Kinky Happy Hour will be on Wednesday, January 26th from 7:00 - 9:00+ at a new location: LoveJoy's. (Actually, it's the old location, but let's not get too technical.)
That's right! It's back to LoveJoy's Tap Room & Brewery! LoveJoy's is a delightful dive bar on Neches, just north of Sixth Street. What it lacks in food and parking is more than compensated for in ambiance. The old place (Austin Java Co.) made me feel like a yuppy. LoveJoy's, on the other hand, makes me feel sexy. And, since I prefer sexiness to yuppiness, LoveJoy's wins until a better venue is agreed upon.
Also for 2005, it is time for wild thoughts to turn to Flipside. It's a smaller, regional version of Burning Man held in Dripping Springs every Memorial Day weekend. I won't even attempt to describe it further. If you've no idea what I'm talking about, please visit www.burningflipside.com/ to read all about it.
Tickets will be sold at a Town Hall meeting this Saturday (Jan. 22) at Elysium on Red River. Tickets always sell out. If you are interested in attending this year's Flipside, I highly recommend that you get your tickets this Saturday. Please visit the website for important details.
Every year, some local scene-folk have organized a BDSM theme-camp at Flipside called Temple de Sade (TdS). Rumor has it that the previous organizers are in need of a break from all the responsibility. Me and a couple of other folks from GWNN are going to make sure that TdS happens again this year.
Also in 2005, there is a Hunt/Outdoor play party to plan. I keep forgetting to check on the exact dates, but it will be around April. I would love to hear some ideas about what kind of outdoor play gathering you would be interested in attending.
What about a dinner party, you ask? Well, we just need someone to step up and volunteer to host. I will have another at some point, but it may be a few months before I'm ready to think about it.
